Wireframe Strings from Intersections
To access this dialog:
-
Activate the Surfaces ribbon and select Operations | Plane | Section Strings from Wireframe
Takes two intersecting wireframe objects and creates strings along the intersections. The string takes the properties of the first object.
You can either create the intersection string for full objects or you can preselect wireframe triangles beforehand and generate an intersection of the selected data only.
Note: This command supports flexible wireframe selection.
Field Details:
Objects: can be chosen using either the drop-down boxes or the pick tools.
-
Wireframe 1/2: This group contains:
-
Object: select this option if you wish to generate an intersection based on the entire wireframe object chosen in the drop-down list.
-
Selected triangles: select this option if wireframe triangles have been selected and you wish to generate an intersection based on those triangles only, in conjunction with the other wireframe object.
Output: you can either output your string data to the current string object, or you can choose a new object name (and it will be created).
